“Through this project, NRC and the Nexus Response Mechanism aim to assist conflict and displacement-affected populations achieve durable solutions to displacement. This project will support populations secure legal identity and other rights using a combination of awareness raising and communication with communities and technical guidance to key stakeholders. By strengthening these rights, beneficiary communities will also benefit from improved access to decent work and education.
The above will be achieved through: a) Supporting informed decision-making by displaced and conflict-affected communities with respect to return, integration and resettlement, through provision of information and consultation with communities; and b) Increasing knowledge and understanding of protection risks amongst strategic stakeholders (e.g. donors/embassies, UN agencies, etc.) through technical guidance based on community consultation and feedback.”
